Physics Professors Steve Kevan and Greg Bothun to Speak at ENR Fireside Conversation Series November 7 at 4:30 p.m.
The University of Oregon School of Law’s Environmental and Natural Resources Law Program, along with the University of Oregon’s Environmental Studies Program, continues its “Earth on Fire: A Series of Fireside Conversations On Global Warming” 2007-2008 series with a talk by Professors Steve Kevan and Greg Bothun, of the University of Oregon Department of Physics. Professors Kevan and Bothun will speak on the topic of “Physicists on Renewable Energy.” Professor Kevan is head of the physics department. His field of specialization is experimental solid state physics and his research interests include surface chemical physics. Professor Bothun’s field of specialization is observational astrophysics. His research interests include the properties of galaxies, observational cosmology, climate change, sustainable energy, and applications of instructional technology. The event will take place Wednesday, November 7, at 4:30 p.m., at the Many Nations Longhouse adjacent to the School of Law. It is free and open to all members of the University community.
