School of Law’s Portland Program Presents “Business Innovation and Law:  Oregon Land Use and Development Tensions” Friday, November 16, at World Trade Center in Portland
 
In the wake of Oregon’s approval of Measure 49, the University of Oregon School of Law (Portland Center) presents —Business Innovation and Law:  Oregon Land Use and Development Tensions.—  Speakers will include attorneys, businesspeople, and activists who campaigned both for and against Measure 49.  Dave Hunnicutt (Oregonians In Action) and Bob Stacey (1,000 Friends of Oregon), frequent adversaries on Oregon land use issues, will appear together on a panel titled, —Land Use Visions for Oregon:  Life With and After Measure 37.—  Other panels will convene on the topics of —The Legal Terrain After the Measure 49 Vote,— —Oregon Rural Property:  The Country Road Ahead,— —Destination Resorts,— and —Operation Home:  Equity in Oregon Housing Opportunities.—  Jill Gelineau, a shareholder at Schwabe Williamson & Wyatt who specializes in land use issues and is an expert on Measure 37 claims, will deliver the keynote speech, titled, —The Big Look.—  The conference will be presented by the University of Oregon School of Law’s Portland Program and will be held at Portland’s World Trade Center.  5.25 MCLE credits will be offered.  For further information, please visit http://www.law.uoregon.edu/org/pdx/docs/pdx07.pdf.
