Oregon Law and North Eugene High School Students Join Together in Recognizing National Minority Law School Recruitment Month

Students from Oregon Law and North Eugene High School joined together during an event on Feb. 20 in recognition of National Minority Law School Recruitment Month sponsored by the Law School Admission Council (LSAC).

The event is intended to reach out to minority high school students and introduce them to law career opportunities. At the event, students participated in a meet and greet breakfast, mock trial on domestic violence and discussion on access to justice issues for communities of color.

Jeminé Modé, second-year Oregon Law student and minority outreach admissions assistant, and Johnny Lake, University of Oregon doctoral student and Eugene, Oregon 4J school district’s administrator on special assignment, organized the event.  Lawrence Seno, Oregon Law’s assistant dean of admissions, welcomed the group with remarks about diversity in the legal profession.
