Presentation on the Inequality of Children’s Health Care to be Held April 3
Ellen Lawton, executive director of the Medical-Legal Partnership for Children in Boston, will present, “Legal Advocacy to Provide Adequate Health Care for Low-Income Children,” on Thursday, April 3 at 7 p.m. at the Knight Law Center, 1515 Agate Street, Room 175, in Eugene.
The presentation will focus on the growing disparity of health care available to children at different socioeconomic levels, particularly immigrant children. University of Oregon alumnus, Ajay Bhatt of the Human Rights Law Division of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security will also contribute to the discussion. Bhatt formerly served as a human rights advisor in the Office of Multilateral Affairs, Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor in the U.S. Department of State.
The presentation is co-hosted by Oregon Law’s Public Interest Public Service Program and CFA.
