Professor Steven Bender Joins Obama’s Housing Policy Committee
Oregon Law’s James and Ilene Hershner Professor and Director of Portland Programs Steven Bender, author and co-author of numerous books on real estate and Latino culture, including Modern Real Estate Finance and Land Transfer: A Transactional Approach; and Tierra y Libertad: Land, Liberty and Latino/as (forthcoming 2009, NYU Press), has been selected to join the Housing Policy Committee of U.S. Sen. Barack Obama’s presidential campaign. He will work primarily with the subcommittee on Homeownership and Housing Finance.
