Biology Professor Scott Bridgham Presents October 30 ENR Fireside Conversation
The University of Oregon School of Law’s Environmental and Natural Resources Law Program, along with the University of Oregon’s Environmental Studies Program, continues its “Seeking Sustainable Solutions: A Series of Fireside Conversations on Global Warming 2008-09″ with a talk by Biology Professor Scott Bridgham. Professor Bridgham will discuss, “The Role of Wetlands in the Global Carbon Cycle: Implications for Global Warming.”
Professor Bridgham’s diverse research interests range from detailed examinations of biogeochemical pathways and microbial dynamics, to plant community studies, to whole-watershed and landscape studies. His research unites under the central theme of understanding the mechanisms that control ecosystem structure and function.
The event takes place at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, October 30, at the Bowerman Center for Environmental Law located in Knight Law Center 225. It is free and open to all members of the university community.
