Professor Steven Bender Visits Coos Bay Public Library November 13
Oregon Book Award recipient to discuss his winning work, “One Night in America”
On Thursday, November 13, at 7:00 p.m. Oregon Law Professor, and recent 2008 Oregon Book Award recipient, Steven Bender will participate in Author’s Night at the Library, hosted by the Coos Bay Public Library in Coos Bay, Oregon.
Professor Bender will be reading from, and signing copies of, his recent book , One Night in America: Robert Kennedy, Cesar Chavez, and the Dream of Dignity (Paradigm Publishers 2008), for which he won the Oregon Book Award.
One Night in America chronicles the warm, and unlikely, friendship between Robert Kennedy and Cesar Chavez and embraces their bold political vision for making the American dream a reality for all.
