Judd Sneirson and Jennifer Howard-Grenville Present January 15 ENR Fireside Conversation
The University of Oregon School of Law’s Environmental and Natural Resources Law Program along with the University of Oregon’s Environmental Studies Program, resumes its “Seeking Sustainable Solutions: A Series of Fireside Conversations on Global Warming 2008-09″ with a joint presentation by Assistant Law Professor Judd Sneirson and Assistant Professor of Business Jennifer Howard-Grenville. Sneirson and Howard-Grenville will discuss, “Sustainability Meets Profitability.”
Professor Sneirson’s scholarship focuses on fiduciary duties in corporate law. Before joining the faculty at Oregon Law in 2001, he taught at Willamette University School of Law. Prior to entering academia, Professor Sneirson clerked for U.S. District Judge Joseph Irenas in the District of New Jersey, and also was a litigator at Willkie Farr & Gallagher’s New York City office.
Howard-Grenville received her Ph.D. in 2000 from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is an expert in the areas of business and the natural environment, and organizational change. Her most recent publication is titled, Corporate Culture and Environmental Practice: Making Change at a High-Tech Manufacturer (Edward Elgar Publishing, 2007). Prior to joining the University of Oregon, Howard-Grenville was an assistant professor of organizational behavior at Boston University School of Management.
The event takes place at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, January 15, at the Bowerman Center for Environmental Law located in Knight Law Center 225. It is free and open to all members of the university community.
