14th Annual OLSPIF Gala and Auction To Take Place February 20
The 14th Annual Oregon Law Students’ Public Interest Fund (“OLSPIF”) Gala and Auction
will be held at 5:30 p.m. Friday, February 20, in the Wayne Morse Commons and room 175 at the Knight Law Center.
The silent auction will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.; the OLSPIF Awards Ceremony will take place from 7:15 to 7:30 p.m.; and the live auction will take place from at 7:30 p.m.
Past auction items include works by local artists, fine wines, bicycles, vacation packages, and donated services. Advance tickets (through February 19) are $13 for general admission and $10 for UO students. Same-day tickets cost $15 for general admission and $12 for UO students. All registrants will receive a commemorative OLSPIF glass and complimentary microbrews, wine, hors d’oeuvres, desserts, and live music.
Some auction items on tap for this year include:
- An overnight stay and dinner for two at a Coos Bay casino
- Dance lessons
- Photography sessions
- Art and jewelry
Funds raised at the auction will support OLSPIF’s summer award program, which provides financial assistance to students working in public interest positions. All students enrolled at Oregon Law who dedicate at least 10 volunteer hours to OLSPIF are eligible to receive a stipend for their unpaid public interest legal work.
