Sarah Crooks ’96 Wins Portland Business Journal Orchid Award

The Portland Business Journal has named Sarah Crooks ’96, a partner in the Perkins Coie LLP Litigation group, one of twenty-five Orchid Award Winners. Crooks will be honored at the 2009 Women in Business Expo on April 23 at the Oregon Convention Center.

Crooks is no stranger to recognition for her work in complex business litigation and class action lawsuits. She is the recipient of a Perkins Coie Austin Crowe Mentor Excellence Award; in 2006 she received the Michael E. Haglund Pro Bono Award, presented by the Multnomah Bar Association, Legal Aid Services of Oregon, and the Oregon Law Center; and in 2008 she was listed in the Portland Business Journal’s “Forty under 40″ list, and the Oregon Law and Politics “Oregon Rising Stars” list.

In addition to the Orchid Award winners, the Women in Business Expo will name the 2009 Woman Entrepreneur of the Year, and the Woman Executive of the Year for each small/medium, large, and nonprofit businesses.
