Nancy Shurtz to Present April 9 ENR Fireside Conversation
Oregon Law’s Environmental and Natural Resources Law Program, along with the University of Oregon’s Environmental Studies Program, continues its “Seeking Sustainable Solutions: A Series of Fireside Conversations on Global Warming 2008-09″ with a presentation by Bernard Kilks Professor of Law Nancy Shurtz titled, “The Role of Environmental Tax and Market Mechanisms in the Green Building Movement.”
Professor Shurtz joined the law school faculty from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. Her interests include individual and business tax law, tax policy, environmental policy, and women and the law. She is editor for the Media/Book Products Committee of the American Bar Association’s Real Property, Probate, and Trust Section. Shurtz also has been a literature reviewer and columnist for Estate Planning magazine since 1990.
The event takes place at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, April 9, at the Bowerman Center for Environmental Law located in Knight Law Center 225. It is free and open to all members of the university community.
