National Lawyers Guild Names 2009-10 Executive Board
The National Lawyers Guild (“NLG”) student organization recently announced the names of its 2009-10 executive board. Next year’s board members are:
Marissa Garcia — Co-Director
Maria Di Miceli — Co-Director
Jordan Beckett — Know Your Rights & Outreach Coordinator
Andy Engel — Secretary & Public Relations Coordinator
Kerry Lewiecki — Treasurer
Emma Weisman — Member-at-Large
The NLG is an association dedicated to the need for basic change in the structure of America’s political and economic system. Founded in 1937, NLG was the nation’s first racially integrated bar association. Throughout its 65-year history, the NLG prides itself on being an important part of the American people’s struggle for real democracy, for economic and social justice, and against oppression and discrimination based on race, ethnicity, immigration status, class, gender, or sexual orientation.
