Visiting Professor Ryan Vacca to Participate in “Your Digital Life” Conference May 27
Oregon Law Visiting Professor Ryan Vacca is participating in the University of Oregon School of Journalism and Communication’s conference, “Your Digital Life: Risks, Opportunities and Practical Applications of Social Media.” The conference takes place from 4:00 to 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, in Lillis Business Complex 182.
The conference will examine the practical and professional applications of social media, and delve into the often-perplexing topic of Internet privacy and security.
Professor Vacca, whose research focuses on intellectual property, will present information as part of the conference’s first panel on Internet privacy, copyright, and security issues.
The conference features a keynote address by Lauren Gelman, executive director of Stanford Law School’s Center for Internet and Society and former Electronic Frontier Foundation public policy director.
