Oregon Law Celebrates Constitution Day September 17

Oregon Law will observe Constitution Day, marking the date in 1787 when members of the Constitutional Convention signed the United States Constitution, with a discussion at the University of Oregon in Portland’s White Stag Building.

This educational program, sponsored by the Oregon Lawyer Chapter of the American Constitution Society, takes place from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. and features guest speakers Paul Butler, professor at the George Washington University Law School, and Clatsop County District Attorney Josh Marquis.

The centerpiece of the evening’s discussion will be Professor Butler’s recent book, Let’s Get Free: A Hip-Hop Theory of Justice.
