Professor Roberta Mann to Present at Tenth Annual Global Conference on Environmental Taxation
Oregon Law Professor Roberta Mann will deliver a presentation Thursday, September 24, at the Annual Global Conference on Environmental Taxation, which is taking place in Portugal.
The theme for this year’s conference focuses on “Water Management and Climate Change.” According to the conference web site, this is a crosscutting issue in the agenda of every level of government and requiring the input of all stakeholders.
Professor Mann’s presentation, “Like Water for Energy: The Water-Energy Nexus through the Lens of Tax Policy,” is part of a larger panel of presentations focusing on Energy Sustainability.
The Institute of International and Strategic Studies is hosting the Global Conference on Environmental Taxation as part of an annual series of international conferences focusing on issues involved in designing and implementing environmentally related taxes. The conferences provide a forum for scholars, representatives of national governments, the private sector, and non-governmental organizations to exchange the latest research on the use of environmentally related taxes and other market-based instruments to advance environmental policy objectives.
