Duck Dash 5k Runs Through Campus October 10
The gun goes off for the 11th Annual Duck Dash & Walk 5k Run, Walk & Wheelchair at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, October 10, at historic Hayward Field. The course winds through the picturesque University of Oregon campus and finishes in the courtyard behind the William W. Knight Law Center.
The event is a memorial run in remembrance of Thomas Foster III, who was a third-year law student at the time of his death in 1999. Proceeds from the race benefit the Tom Foster Scholarship Fund at Oregon Law.
Awards will be presented for the first male, female, and masters winners. Ribbons will be presented to first, second, and third place finishers in each age division. Random prize drawings and refreshments also will be provided.
The Duck Dash is sponsored by Oregon Law and the Journal of Environmental Law and Litigation (“JELL”). JELL is a student-published law review journal that provides a national, unbiased forum for the discussion of new ideas and theories in environmental and natural resources law.
