‘Climate Change, Mediation, and Beyond War’ Presentation To Take Place February 4

Beyond War, an organization dedicated to ending the use of warfare in this century, will present “Climate Change, Mediation, and Beyond War,” from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, February 4, in Knight Law Center 175.

The group’s Elaine and Bill Hallmark will share their firsthand experiences and insights from the pre-meeting at Barcelona to the United Nations conference at Copenhagen. The Hallmarks hold official observer status as part of the NGO delegation with Mediators Beyond Borders.

Discussion will focus on moving the world beyond the stalemate over climate change; and what kind of system could deal with the present and future climate related issues without resorting to war.

This event is sponsored by Oregon Law’s Appropriate Dispute Resolution Center.
