Professor Steven Bender Joins New ‘Nuestras Voces Latinas’ Blog

Steven Bender, Hershner Professor of Law and director of Portland Programs, is a contributing editor to the new legal and cultural blog, Nuestras Voces Latinas, which made its debut this weekend. Professor Steven Bender

Formed in response to what the editors see as “the vile, shameless, and inaccurate depiction of Latinas and Latinos in this country,” Nuestras Voces Latinas seeks to write regarding the issues affecting the Latina/Latino community and challenge offensive depictions often seen in the media. Nuestras Voces Latinas addresses race, class, gender, sexual orientation, education, health care, immigration, crime, politics, media, housing, language, labor, and more.
