Professor Mary Wood to Participate in Food Security Town Hall February 17

Professor Mary Wood, faculty director for the Environmental and Natural Resources program, will participate in a town hall forum addressing food security, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 17, at Harris Hall in the Lane County Courthouse and Public Service Building. Professor Mary Wood

This is the second town hall forum regarding food security, sponsored by Lane County Commissioners Pete Sorenson, Rob Handy, and Eugene Mayor Kitty Piercy.

Professor Wood, along with many other expert panelists, will discuss how sustainable agriculture, climate change, and peak oil impact food security in Lane County. The community meeting includes discussion from hosts and panelists. The floor will be open to the community for questions and comments.
