Students Excel at Regional Trial Competition

Oregon Law’s Jess Hyunh, Jenny Prince, Casey Gillham, David Cadaret, Derek Larwick, and Moorish Bey-Taylor recently competed at the regional round of the Texas Young Lawyers Association (TYLA) National Trial Competition, held at Willamette University.

The team of Hyunh, Prince, and Gillham advanced to the semifinal round of competition.

The National Trial Competition was established in 1975 to encourage and strengthen the advocacy skills of students through quality competitions and valuable interaction with members of the bench and bar. The program is designed to expose law students to the nature of trial practice and to serve as a supplement to their education.
