‘Core Sample: China’ Photography Exhibit on Display at Oregon Law
Oregon Law’s second-floor gallery is currently housing a stunning photography exhibit of contemporary China by Portland photographer Carol Isaak.
“Core Sample: China” will be on display through July 21, and features dramatic five-foot poster size images and smaller photos that draw in the viewer and open an understanding into the photographer’s imagination and composition.
Isaak refers to herself as a social “documentarian,” observing societies through their material culture.
“The work, like that of a geologist who extracts a sample of the earth’s layers offers insight into the changes that China is experiencing as The Dragon surges into the 21st century,” she adds.
