Professor Eric Priest to Deliver Noontime Presentation on Google’s Clash with China April 5
Oregon Law Assistant Professor Eric Priest will address the recent news regarding Google’s very public battle with the Chinese government over internet censorship.
“Google, Control, and China’s Interest” will take place at noon Monday, April 5, in Knight Law Center 141.
Professor Priest, drawing on his background as a research fellow at Harvard Law School’s Berkman Center for Internet & Society and as an internet entrepreneur in China, will discuss what the internet experience really is like for Chinese users, how pervasive content filtering is in China, and how behavior on the web is regulated.
