Professor Roberta Mann to Participate in Climate & Energy Law Symposium
The symposium will explore various regulatory approaches being proposed and adopted to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Panels will focus on how innovative regulatory instruments, such as carbon taxes and emissions trading, complement, displace, and otherwise interact with traditional “direct” regulatory approaches, such as setting and enforcing emissions standards.
Professor Mann, a tax, property, and environmental law expert, will participate in the day’s second panel discussion, Climate Change and Tax Law. The panel also features law professors Reuven Avi-Yonah from the University of Michigan, Karen C. Burke from the University of San Diego, David Duff from the University of British Columbia, and Sunflower Tax Founder and Managing Director Walter Wang.
