Screen Actors Guild’s Ray Rodriguez to Deliver Presentation April 12
Ray Rodriguez, deputy national executive director and head of contracts for the Screen Actors Guild, will discuss his responsibilities for negotiating, administering, enforcing, and signing employers to the Guild’s collective bargaining agreements at noon, Monday, April 12, in Knight Law Center 142.
Mr. Rodriguez has served as either chief negotiator or second chair at all Guild negotiations since he assumed his current position in 2007, including negotiations covering theatrical motion pictures, television, commercials, industrial and educational films, and video games. Rodriguez also serves as a trustee to the Screen Actors Guild-Producers Industry Advancement and Cooperative Fund.
Mr. Rodriguez previously served as deputy general counsel for the Guild in its New York office where he managed SAG’s legal function for New York and the eastern states. Prior to joining SAG, Rodriguez practiced labor and employment law for O’Melveny & Myers LLP and Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. He also served as a judicial clerk for the Hon. Vaughn R. Walker of the Northern District of California.
A native of Brooklyn, New York, Mr. Rodriguez is a graduate of Harvard College and the Columbia University School of Law.
