Hon. Ellen Rosenblum ’75 Chairs ABA Commission Releasing Diversity Report

The American Bar Association’s Presidential Commission on Diversity, chaired by 1975 Oregon Law alumna Hon. Ellen Rosenblum, recently released the final edition of “Diversity in the Legal Profession: Next Steps,” a report and recommendations based on a year-long assessment and information-gathering process.

The report examines the state of diversity in the legal profession as it relates to race and ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, and disabilities. The focus was on law schools, law firms/corporate law departments, government/judiciary, and bar associations.

Judge Rosenblum has served on the Oregon Court of Appeals bench for close to five years, and served on the Multnomah County Circuit Court bench for 22 years prior. On April 16, she and her husband Richard Meeker, were honored with Oregon Law’s 2010 Frohnmayer Award for Public Service.
