OLSPIF Announces 2010 Stipend Recipients

The Oregon Law Students Public Interest Fund (“OLSPIF”) recently announced the names of its 2010 stipend recipients. The following students will be pursuing public interest work throughout the summer:

Lane County Legal Aid and Advocacy Center

Holly Hayman
Oregon “AFSCME” American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees

Bridget Budbill
Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice & Human Rights (Washington, D.C.)

Brent Wilkins
Western Environmental Law Center

Lauren Marie Fleming
National Center for Lesbian Rights (San Francisco)

Cassandra Champion
Civil Liberties Defense Center

OLSPIF is a non-profit run by the students of Oregon Law. The mission of OLSPIF is to enable law student employment in the public interest and to support greater community access to legal representation. Through fundraising efforts, the group is able to award up to $3,000 stipends to qualified students who accept public interest positions that otherwise are unpaid.
