Dean Paris Wins ‘Best Paper of the Year’ from The Round Table Club of Eugene

Oregon Law Dean Margie Paris took “Best Paper of the Year” honors at The Round Table Club of Eugene‘s annual member paper presentations.  Dean Margie Paris

Paper topics for The Round Table seldom relate to a person’s occupation, so it comes as no surprise to those at the law school that the avid birder’s paper, “The Sound and the Fury,” delves into the world of bird vocalizations. Dean Paris writes, “It is only later that we come to realize that we can learn much more about birds, and observe them much more closely, if we also listen to their sounds, that is, if we learn to ‘bird by ear.’”
