Ocean Law Director Richard Hildreth and Students Present Climate Science Research
Richard Hildreth, director of Oregon Law’s Ocean and Coastal Law Center, along with recent graduates Meg Rowe and Alison Torbitt, and third-year student Holly Jacobson presented their research findings to Pacific Northwest climate researchers in Portland this month.
Rowe attended the PNW Climate Science Conference June 15-16 at Portland State University to exchange results with several climate researchers regarding the science of climate variability and change in the Pacific Northwest.
Professor Hildreth, Torbitt, and Jacobson presented papers at the Association for Environmental Studies and Sciences Annual Conference June 17-20 at Lewis & Clark College. Professor Hildreth and Torbitt delivered a paper on reducing greenhouse gas emissions from ships, and Professor Hildreth and Jacobson delivered a paper on fertilizing the ocean to reduce carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
