Oregon Law 1990 Alumna to Receive Women of Influence Award Nov. 18

Patricia Buchanan '90 is being honored by the Puget Sound Business Journal

Oregon Law alumna Patricia Buchanan ’90 has been named a 2010 recipient of the Puget Sound Business Journal‘s Women of Influence Award. Buchanan is founding principal for the law firm Patterson Buchanan Fobes Leitch & Kalzer with offices in Seattle and Portland. The 2010 awards ceremony will take place at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue.

The Women of Influence program began in 2004 and honors a handful of noteworthy female leaders in the business community who move the needle within their industry, mentor others, and raise the level of civic debate. The awards honor women who:

  • Have the authority and power to move the needle in their business
  • Are respected for accomplishments within their industries
  • Give back to the community
  • Are sought out as respected advisors and mentors within their fields of influence.
  • Buchanan credits her colleagues with giving her the tools she needs for success.

“I have a great team of business partners and employees without whom this award would not be possible,” Buchanan said. “I am proud to be part of being a part of them and this group.”
