Nation’s Leading Climate Scientist to Deliver Public Lecture Oct. 16

James Hansen, adjunct professor of Earth and Environmental Sciences at Columbia University and member of the National Academy of Sciences, will deliver a free public lecture, “Global Warming Time Bomb: How to Avert Disaster,” at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, in Knight Law Center 175.

Hansen is one of the world’s leading climate scientists and has been lauded as the “Paul Revere of global warming” by Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., and a climate science hero by numerous politicians and scientists. His book, Storms of My Grandchildren, urges youth to demand climate stabilization.

This event is sponsored by the Wayne Morse Center for Law and Politics, and the Environmental and Natural Resources Law program at the University of Oregon School of Law.
