Professor Steven Bender to Present Keynote at Oregon Latino Agenda for Action Inaugural Summit

Professor Steven Bender, director of Portland Programs at Oregon Law, will participate in the inaugural summit of the Oregon Latino Agenda for Action Sunday, October 17, through Monday, October 18. Professor Bender is one of four keynote speakers and will present on the topic “Creating an Oregon where Everyone Belongs.”

In his keynote, Professor Bender will discuss the social and economic implications a reformed immigration system would have on the nation; and how a comprehensive immigration plan serves the interests of taxpayers, the economy, and the Oregon Latino communities.

The Oregon Latino Agenda for Action aims to establish a broad-based statewide coalition of Latino organizations, community groups, and individuals to strategically advocate and work for systems change and to develop policy recommendations on issues affecting Latino communities.
