Oregon Law hosts Reunions 2011
Law alumni to converge on campus Sept. 9-11
The University of Oregon School of Law will host its annual reunion weekend Friday through Sunday, Sept. 9-11. The event promises to give past alumni the chance to revisit the lush river valleys and ubiquitous local wineries of the Willamette Valley. A diverse schedule of events, from social dinners to tailgating, will give former students the chance to reconnect with fellow graduates and relax within the moderate summer weather of Eugene.
Highlights of the weekend include a trip to the coveted confines of Autzen Stadium for a tailgate prior to the Ducks home opener against Nevada on Saturday, Sept. 10. There also will be a McKenzie River rafting trip, a wine tour and a symposium hosted by the Journal of Environmental Law and Litigation titled, “The Local Revolution: How Relationships and Legal Policies are Helping Create Sustainable Communities Around the Country.”
In addition to these activities, on Friday night, there will be a reception and reunion dinner at the UO’s new Ford Alumni Center, followed by drinks and a social hour.
For those looking for more, there will be optional excursions to the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art, the Museum of Natural and Cultural History and the vibrant social milieu that is the Eugene Saturday Market.
The event is open to members of the following classes: 1956, 1961, 1971, 1976, 1981, 1986, 1991, 1996, 2001 and 2006. Interested participants are encouraged to visit www.uoregonlaw.com/2011register to register for the event.
