Animal Legal Defense Fund attorney to speak at law school symposium
Senior Staff Attorney Scott Heiser to keynote public interest event
Scott Heiser, Animal Legal Defense Fund senior staff attorney and director of the fund's Criminal Justice Program, will keynote the 2012 University of Oregon School of Law's Public Interest Public Service symposium.
The symposium takes place at 12:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, in the Wayne Morse Commons of the Knight Law Center, located at 1515 Agate St. in Eugene.
This year's symposium will explore the different settings for the practice of public interest law. Four panel discussions will take place throughout the day, focusing on particular settings for the practice of public interest law: criminal law, labor law, non-profit careers and indigent representation.
