Contract Drafting

Engages students in the practical art of drafting contracts in the context of client representation. The main goals of the course are (1) to help students develop drafting skills that accurately and effectively memorialize and advance the client objectives, and (2) introduce students to common and substantive contract provisions and structure. The course will be a combination of class discussion, negotiation role play, and drafting and editing exercises. Grading will based on written drafting assignments, the quality of editing others drafts, and class participation. Course offered both in Portland and Eugene at the same time / date and instructor alternates locations with live video conferencing to respective location.
