The law of trademarks and unfair competition governs how businesses protect the brand names, logos, and other symbols they use to help consumers identify their goods or services. This course provides an introduction to trademark law, focusing on U.S. federal trademark law, but will also examine common law trademark and unfair competition as well as international dimensions of trademark law.
