Provides an overview of the Dodd-Frank Act, the US response to the Global Financial Crisis including its international aspect; Focuses on the interrelationship between the economy (pre-and post-GFC), its financial institutions and their regulators; Leads to an understanding of the multiple roles of the regulatory lawyer in 2012.
