Commercial Loan Agreements

January Term 2015 • LAW 610 • Credits: 1

Instructor: Ted McAniff

Virtually every lawyer, no matter what her or his practice area, will encounter commercial loan transactions at some point. Commercial loan agreements are simply a specialized form of contract and, as one would expect, the issues in these agreements also apply to other types of transactions. This course will focus on a revolving loan agreement in order to understand (a) the problems characteristic of the borrower/lender relationship, (b) the applicable law, (c) the negotiation and drafting of provisions to solve those problems, and (d) the related anatomy of other business transactions.
