Environmental Law Statement of Completion
In order to earn an Environmental Statement of Completion, a student must satisfactorily complete seven courses related to environmental law. The student must complete four of the following courses: Advanced Environmental Law Clinic, American Indian Policy, Climate Change in International Law, Climate Change Litigation, Climate Change Law & Policy, Coastal Law, Comparative Environmental Law, Energy and Law, Environmental Conflict Resolution, Environmental and Natural Resources Externship, Environmental Moot Court, Green Building and Construction, Hazardous Waste Law, Indian Law, Journal of Environmental Law and Litigation, Land Use Law, Local Government Law, Nonprofit Organizations, Ocean Law, Public Land Law, Public Trust Law, Regulated Energy Utility Law, Renewable Energy Law, Tribal Courts and Tribal Law, and Wildlife Law. Additionally, there is a course substitution procedure.
In addition to completing the above-referenced curriculum, a candidate for the Environmental Law Statement of Completion must also complete an academic research paper of high professional quality concerning environmental or natural resources law. The student may receive advance approval of his or her topic.
