International Law Statement of Completion
For students interested in studying international law and international relations, Oregon Law offers an International Law Statement of Completion. This program features a varied curriculum that explores aspects of the law as it relates to international business, globalization, human rights, and politics. Students who complete this program will enter the field with an education that sets them ahead of their peers and demonstrates commitment to this area of practice.
Requirements
In order to earn an International Law Statement of Completion, a student must satisfactorily complete the following course:
- International Law
In addition, students must complete one of the following courses:
- International Business Transactions
- International Trade and Investment Law
A successful candidate also must also satisfactorily complete four of the following courses:
- Climate Change in International Law
- Comparative Environmental Law
- Conflicts of Law
- European Union Law
- Family Law in the World Community
- Human Rights
- Human Rights and the Environment
- Immigration Law
- International Environmental Law
- International Business Transactions
- International Trade and Investment Law
- Law and Development
- Refugee Asylum Law
In addition to completing the curriculum referenced above, a candidate for the International Law Statement of Completion must also complete an academic research paper of high professional quality concerning international law issues. The student must receive advance approval of his or her topic.
