As Oregon's governor from 1967 to 1975, Tom McCall had a lasting impact on Oregon's environment: developing the land use system, fighting to retain public ownership of Oregon's coastline, and cleaning up the polluted Willamette River. An independent Republican and former journalist, Tom McCall captured the state's independent spirit as he fought to protect its pristine features.
The ENR Center's Global Environmental Democracy Project and Land Air Water presents OPB's "Oregon Experience: Tom McCall," with an introduction by Dave Frohnmayer.
