Dr. Hugo Slim visits Oregon as the 2013-14 Savage Professor of International Relations and Peace. Dr. Slim is a Senior Research Fellow at the Oxford Institute for Ethics, Law and Armed Conflict at the University of Oxford where he leads research on humanitarian ethics. He has been a board member of Oxfam GB, an International Advisor to the British Red Cross, and is currently on the board of the Catholic Agency for Overseas Development (CAFOD). He worked for Save the Children and the United Nations, and has authored many articles and four books.

The Rennard Strickland Lecture Series was established in 2006 to honor the legacy of Dean Rennard Strickland and to build on his contributions to the field of Indian law, to legal education, and to the Environmental and Natural Resources and Indian Law program at Oregon Law.
This year's speaker is Robert Anderson, Professor of Law and Director of the Native American Law Center at the University of Washinton. Anderson is a renown scholar, author, professor, and litigator of Indian Law in the United States.
