The "Law & Film: Take Two" discussion series will analyze key scenes from famous legal movies to explore questions of interest to law students, namely: legal effectiveness; different kinds of lawyering; role of the mediator; dynamics/mechanics of negotiation; and the relationship between natural and positive law. Currently scheduled for every Tuesday in October (2, 9, 16, 23, 30).

LANE COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT PRESENTATION ON EXTERNSHIPS. Judge Mustafa Kasubhai (UO Law '96) will discuss externships at the Lane County Circuit Court. Once again PIPS has partnered with Food for Lane County to collect food for needy families. Currently, 13.6 percent of Oregon homes lack consistent access to adequate amounts of food. Furthermore, Oregon's child hunger rate is the highest in the nation! Food for Lane County will be placing barrels for donations at the law school from 10/8-10/12. So drop off a can or two of food, and together we can make a difference!
