How to do Everything Wrong (from a Legal Standpoint) in Starting a Business. Presentation addressing legal issues that early-stage tech companies commonly face around forming business entities, granting equity incentives to employees, protecting intellectual property developed by outside service providers, and raising capital, based on the hypothetical company trainwreck.com. Open to both law students and participants in the university’s RAIN (Regional Accelerator and Innovation Network) cohort. Presentation by Katherine Moyer and David Brabender of Endeavor Law Group in Eugene, which specializes in representing startup companies. Katherine is also the director of the law school’s Small Business Clinic. Attendees should bring their own lunch.
