Thursday, April 5, 5-7 p.m., Agate Alley
Portland law firm Miller Nash is hosting a 1L Reception in Eugene. You may be curious about this firm’s hiring requirements as you consider whether to attend this event. Last year this firm accepted summer associate applications from 2Ls in the top 25% of the class and expressed a preference for law journal and moot court participation. 1Ls may RSVP to Rebekah Hanley by 4 p.m. on March 22.

The Women in Sports Business Symposium sponsored by the UO Lundquist College of Business has become a cornerstone in the achievement of Jim Warsaw’s vision that UO students could learn about sports business both in the classroom and through interaction with industry leaders. In addition, the Symposium gives Oregon students the chance to celebrate and honor business leaders of today. Free for students. Friday, April 20, 5:30-6:30 p.m., Mekala’s, 1769 Franklin Blvd., Eugene
Law students are invited to a one-hour CLE program, DUII Defense and Prosecution Trial Strategies, presented by the Oregon New Lawyers Division of the Oregon State Bar. No charge for law students. Pre-register by email. If space allows, registration will also be accepted at the door. The Oregon New Lawyers Division will host a reception following the CLE program; attendees may join the Executive Committee for appetizers.
