It's time to plan for the Equal Justice Works National Public Interest Law Career Fair and Conference to be held in Arlington, Virginia, on Friday and Saturday, October 26 and 27. The Fair offers law students and employers nationwide a unique opportunity to meet and interview in a single location. The largest event of its kind, the Career Fair attracts more than 200 employers and more than 1,000 law students and graduates.
Register for a fee of $25 by Thursday, September 13, at http://equaljusticeworks.org/law-school/conference-and-careerfair/students. Be sure to review the Registration and Application Guide on the website above. (Due to NALP guidelines, 1Ls are not eligible to interview, but they may participate in informal Table Talk sessions. Law students who are not seeking an interview have until October 11 to register.)
Funds may be available for partial reimbursement of expenses incurred while attending the Career Fair. Request approval from the Career Center at least one week before the conference; the form and policy are available on Symplicity under Resources, Document Library, Reimbursements.
In addition, Equal Justice Works Fall 2013 fellowship applications are due September 18. If you are a 3L, you must identify a qualifying nonprofit host organization that will provide you with a full-time position upon receiving a fellowship. Together with your host organization, you must design a new project that serves the public interest. See details at http://www.equaljusticeworks.org/post-grad/equal-justice-works-fellowships.
