Senior Director of Development
Jake Logan joined the Oregon Law team in June 2012 as the Senior Director of Development and External Affairs. In this role, Logan joins the Deans senior management team and directs all communications and marketing efforts, alumni outreach and affairs, and acts as the chief development officer for the School of Law.
Most recently, Logan served as the director of development in the College of Engineering at the University of Florida where they recently concluded a successful $1.7 billion campaign. A University of Florida alumnus, Logan successfully designed and implemented a campaign that was responsible for a substantial increase in the number of endowed faculty positions and oversaw the construction of a new building addition.
Logan began his career in non-profit fundraising with the American Heart Association a decade ago. After starting as a regional director in Daytona Beach, Fla., Logan was recognized nationally for his work in special event fundraising by pioneering web-based engagement strategies, and at the age of 27, was promoted to Vice President of Field Development.
Joining Logan in Oregon are his partner Sheena, son Max and their beagle, Athena. Avid distance runners, the family was also attracted to Eugene in part because of its reputation as Track Town, USA. The couple has run nearly 20 marathons between them, including four Boston Marathons and one 50-mile race in the Florida Keys.
Logan earned his bachelors of science degree in public relations from the University of Florida. He has served a number of community service organizations, in a variety of capacities, most recently as President of the Florida Track Club.
