Before returning to the law school in 2010, Jane Steckbeck spent 14 years in the law school Career Services office holding various positions from Career Counselor, to Associate Director to Interim Assistant Dean. She chaired the law schools award-winning Pro Bono Program from 1996-2008 and assisted Professor Dominick Vetri in founding the Public Interest Public Service Program. Ms. Steckbeck’s passion for public service underscores her commitment to assisting the Oregon Law Students Public Interest Fund, Pro Bono Program, Loan Repayment Assistance Program, and career development efforts of students pursuing public service careers. Ms. Steckbeck earned her B.A. at Indiana University, Bloomington, and her J.D. from Oregon Law.
