Public Defender Services of Lane County LRAP Program 2010, 2011, 2012
Bob Kaiser joined the Public Defender office in Lane County in early 2009, where he has represented numerous individuals accused of misdemeanor and felony charges. Before securing his position with the Public Defender, accepted court-appointed criminal cases on behalf of indigent defendants, and also handled pro bono matters for Lane County Legal Aid and Advocacy Center.
Bob’s commitment to public defense runs deep: “I would like to spend the rest of my career working as a public defender representing indigent defendants. I like the work I do, and I’d like to continue doing it. Helping individuals who are in a difficult situation is incredibly rewarding and satisfying.”
“Every single day I get to work with people who really need my advice and guidance. They need someone to help in navigating a complicated legal system and ensuring that their rights and voices aren’t missed.”
“The LRAP program has been a big part of helping to ensure that I can afford to keep doing the kind of work I love. With law school loans, it can be hard to stick to your principles and do the kind of work you believe in. LRAP can really change that struggle.”
