30th Anniversary Bash
On October 15, 2008, the University of Oregon celebrated the 30th anniversary of its Legal Research and Writing Program. First, the faculty gathered to recognize founding director, Professor Emerita Mary Lawrence. Then-Dean Margie Paris presented her with an engraved crystal clock. Next, the entire law school community gathered in the Morse Commons to enjoy lots of cake. Later, Dean Paris hosted a lunch for Professor Lawrence, Lois Ackerman (long time registrar at the law school), and Caroline Forell (who taught with Mary in the first year of our LRW program and is now the Hess Professor of Law).
