Honorable Jack Landau and Honorable David Schuman of the Oregon Court of Appeals
Present Appellate Update at Law School Saturday, October 13
On Saturday, October 13, from 8:30-10:00 a.m., two distinguished
Oregon jurists will present a CLE titled "Appellate Update: The Most
Important & Outrageous Recent Oregon Appellate Cases," for 1.5 CLE
credits. The Honorable David Schuman, an alumnus, former faculty
member, and former Associate Dean of the University of Oregon School of
Law, has been a Judge of the Oregon Court of Appeals since 2001. While
on the faculty, Judge Schuman received the Ersted Award for
Distinguished Teaching and published scholarly articles in the Oregon
Law Review, Michigan Law Review, Vermont Law Review, American Criminal
Law Review, Temple Law Review, and many other journals, as well as
articles in The Washington Post, The Oregonian, and The Chronicle of
Higher Education, among others. The Honorable Jack Landau has been a
Judge of the Oregon Court of Appeals since 1992. Before joining the
court, Judge Landau was a partner at Lindsay, Hart, Neil & Weigler,
was Attorney-in-Charge of the Oregon Department of Justice's Special
Litigation Unit, and served as Deputy Attorney General. Judge Landau
is also a member of the Oregon Law Institute's Board of Directors.
The CLE will be held at the School of Law, 1515 Agate Street, Room
110, in Eugene. 1.5 CLE credits will be offered. The cost is $25 for
Law School Alumni Association ("LSAA") members, $50 to non-LSAA
members, and free to those who do not take CLE credits. For further
